Bassano Part II - snowy, windy, foggy, but still friendly

The weather might be the biggest enemy to cyclists. But if you are really into cycling, you don't mind it and enjoy every minute of it.

As you could read in the first part of our Bassano adventures, we enjoyed the switchbacks in the Veneto region a lot. But it's not only about switchbacks. Every morning on the road, we have built a stereotype of what's need to be done before we start exploring.

Some delicious, often local, breakfast. Planning the route and finding some spots where you can #stoppedaling. And another vital activity - checking the weather. Those are three must-do activities. Unfortunately, this time the weather made us a bit unhappy, not only because of the snow on the mountain tops, that prevented us from climbing all the way up, but also because of the strong wind and never ending fog that made these rides really difficult. But a bit more interesting on the other hand.

We missed the sun a little bit, but the countryside with all the beautiful nature around was amazing and it was a nice compensation. Even though a bit cold.

And so we decided to leave the bikes and explore the culture a bit. Bassano was very nice. Old town centre with colourful houses and the history breathing at you at every corner.

The other one was Foza. Small town with amazing ice-cream places. Yes, it was freaking cold outside, but you simply can't miss the opportunity to get the original Italian ice-cream.

We met a lot of beautiful people in Bassano and the surroundings. And that's what usually makes the final feeling of the place. But on our last road, the day when we set off back home, we met also someone special. Hearing just the awwww, looking around, but only after some seconds I looked down and found out we are in the middle of a bunny farm.

Despite the fact we didn't climb the tops, the ice-cream season haven't started yet and the it was too cold to drink coffee outside on the terrace, this trip convinced us to come back soon. We are definitely planning to have some summer rides and enjoy Veneto again.
